Andrew Poole has been solely involved with the machine tool industry since his post-school days as a technician apprentice with Herbert-DeVlieg in the late 70’s.
(Herbert -DeVlieg was a JV between to the two companies manufacturing state-of-the-art computer controlled milling machines).
After completion of his Technical apprenticeship, he worked in all aspects of the engineering of these units, particularly as an applications and commissioning engineer which also involved customer training and post-sale service.
After 10 years of working in the engineering departments, he switched to the commercial aspects of the business and in 2003 set up A&K Machine Tools Ltd. The business has grown so that now machines are supplied and sourced internationally; recent business includes Scandinavia, the Gulf, and India. A&K Machine Tools Ltd also offers full installation and reconditioning services
